Youth Ministries

General Info

Preparing the youth of our church is an important element in the church’s future, as they will one day become our church leaders. Equipping youth for personal ministry through discipleship, outreach and missions is a hallmark of this ministry.

We are excited by the fact that on September 25, 2005, Dripping Spring called Jason Sharp, to fill the position of Youth Pastor. Bro. Sharp is the former senior pastor of Woodlawn Baptist, but he has a strong desire and calling to work with young people. Events for fellowship, fun and most of all, spiritual growth, will continue to be planned regularly with volunteers and the guidance of Bro. Jason.

Some of our recent events are shown below. Look for more information and pictures regarding our youth in the upcoming months.

In Their Own Words

A new feature that we will begin sharing via our website is our youth's own personal testimony. This is a great tool for other youth to personally read the salvation story of their peers, especially when they may be too afraid to ask or simply curious. Additional testimonies will be added as they become available, so check back often.

  Recent Youth Events
  • October 29, 2005 - Youth Fall Outing: A large group of 6th-12th graders and adult chaperones had a fun filled evening on a cool Fall evening. Approximately 46 youth traveled to Clarksville for dinner, putt-putt golf, and ko cart racing. Later, the group returned to the church and embarked on a hay ride to the nearby Vick Caverns for a little spelunking and devotion. Afterwards, the hay ride concluded near the church for a time of worship. Bro. Jason shared the awesome message of how Jesus is our Light and how we can't do anything without him, especially reading his word in the dark. At the appropriate time, a bonfire was lit to symbolize his light and how all things are possible through him. The bonfire was quite impressive as it could be seen for many miles, and its flames climbed nearly fifty feet into the air.
  • May 7, 2005 - (Nashville Kats Youth Outing): Eighteen youth and adults attended a fun and exciting night of arena football in Nashville. Everyone enjoyed this "different" style of football, especially since the Kats man-handled the Grand Rapids Rampage by a score of 54-33. Click for other pictures!
  • February 26, 2005 - (Ski Trip): Approximately 32 youth and adults traveled to the Perfect North Ski Slopes in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for a day of snow skiing and good times. Everyone had a safe and enjoyable trip with lots of good fellowship. Click here for more photos.
